Kolkata on WHEELS'- the city magazine dedicated exclusively to motoring- organised the “CEAT Wheel War IV”- where all hell broke loose as 60 of the Kolkata's fast and the furious raced at Eco Park, Rajarhat. The event which took place on October 6 was conducted with technical assistance from Bengal Motor Sports Club (BMSC) and under the guidance of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). With CEAT Tyres as the title sponsor and Total Lubricants as the co-sponsor, the motorsport event was held with the help and cooperation extended by West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (WBHIDCO). The race took place with 60 cars divided into 10 categories based on engine power. The event was flagged off by Debashis Sen, Chairman- WBHIDCO, along with Vishwanath Tiwari, Zonal Business Manager- CEAT Tyres and Sanjiv Keshyap, Asst. Vice President of Eastern India - Total Lubricants. After flag off, the competitors raced inside a pre-set track, one at a time, maneuvering their cars along the track on concrete surface. A lively crowd that had gathered to see the spectacle was enthralled by the who’s who of India’s motoring arena, showed off their driving skills. Scintillating music played by the DJ kept the mood upbeat while the car racers fought for the coveted titles. Top racers from this part of the country including the upcoming ones participated in this rare motor sporting format. The buffet lunch spread by the hospitality partner Haveli restaurant of Sector V was a special treat for all the participants and guests.
