Tata Motors launches The Tigor facelift

Tata Motors has launched the Tigor facelift with prices starting at Rs 5.20 lakh for the base petrol variant going up to Rs 7.38 lakh for the top-end diesel trim. Noticeable changes in the Tata Tigor facelift are the refreshed exterior design cues like the square chrome elements inside the headlights, the clear lens tail-lights, a shark-fin antenna and a 36-LED high-mounted stop light with chrome highlights on the door handles, the front bumper, the grill and the fog lamp housings. The top-spec XZ+ trim is an addition to the variant line-up. It comes equipped with a 7.0-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto compatibility. This doubles as a display for the reverse camera. Other features on the Tigor XZ+ include faux-leather upholstery, driver's side seat-height adjust and power-folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The Tigor features a dual-tone interior in black and grey with chrome accents around the air vents and infotainment system. The Tigor facelift also comes with a soft touch knitted roof liner and fabric inserts on the door trim. The 2018 Tata Tigor remains unchanged mechanically, with the same 86 PS, 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 71 PS, 1.05-litre diesel motor. With the former, you have a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox, while the diesel only gets a 5-speed manual transmission. The updated Tigor will be available in a new Egyptian Blue colour scheme option. The compact sedan competes with the Ford Figo Aspire, Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Volkswagen Ameo.
